NW Fjords. Act 2: Wonderful Fjords and a fogy mountain pass

We continued our trek through the NW Fjord country and I seemed to fall more in love with the area after every turn. We found an undeveloped hot spring, took a drive over a fogy mountain pass to yet another waterfall- seems waterfalls in Iceland are what Castles are to Ireland, they were everywhere ( I did keep the waterfall separate from this page so to not overload it with pictures). On one of our last night in the NW Fjord country, I slept outside. If it wasn’t for the full moon, that night would have been incredible for the Northern Lights- but cause of the moon, all I could see was the shadows.

Dynjandi Waterfall

We stopped a lot to take in the views of the Fjords.

Our trusty campervan.

One of many little fishing villiges.

Dynjandisheidi Pass, enroute to Dynjandi waterfall.

Built in 1959, the pass is 160ft high and was the first car accessible road to Isafjordur.

Views from Dynjandi waterfall.

A fine morning drive along the Fjords. We stopped a bit again to take in the views.
