Headed up to Georgetown in late September 2022 to enjoy the fall colors and a morning ride on the Georgetown Loop Railroad. We caught the first train of the day on a cool and overcast Friday morning. Perfect temps for a Fall train ride. Even with the cool temps, the train was packed. Afterword’s, we headed over to Cabin Creek Brewery for lunch, a most fantastic spot. Sadly I had to bug out Saturday morning since I work Sunday. But before heading back down the hill, I stopped in Silver Plume for a quick stroll along the old grade of the Argentine Central Railroad. This old grade cuts through a tone of Aspens and they were definitely peaking with the Fall colors, on top of that, the mountains had there first snow of the year the night before.
Golden Aspens and a ride on a steam train, nothing better.
