Outlaws Run 2022. NW Texas

With our original plans for this years Outlaws Run not working out as planned, we decided on a long weekend in November to NW Texas. With the hopes of some warmer weather. This would be my first time exploring that part of Texas. Always fun to see new country. We spent most of our time around Lake Meredith. For our last night, after breaking up the drive North, we camped outside Springer, NM.

Crossing into the panhandle of Oklahoma.

A moody evening across Oklahoma.

Finally into Texas.

First nights camp near Lake Meredith.

Views from camp.

Lake Meredith.

It was pretty windy the whole weekend. Dity see many people out on the lake.

Taking in the views.

Martin and his nicely built FJ60.

Exploring some of the OHV areas around Lake Meredith.

Probably my favorite pics from the trip:).

Coming in to camp #2. One of my favorite for the trip.

Evening sets in.

Camp.

Had a great sunset.

I seemed to go back to these trees.

Camp:).

Had a friendly visitor at camp the next morning.

Morning vistas.

Cadillac Ranch.

Matt tagging “Outlaws” on one of the cars.

So much spray paint.

Palo Duro Canyon.

A lonely back road crossing into New Mexico.

At least Matt got the “Abby Road” pose…

A fine New Mexico sunset.

Heading North on I-25 the next morning. Had to stop and take in the sunrise before finishing the drive home.
