Cruise Moab 2014. Act 3: The Citadel

After a fine night camping in the Valley of the Gods, Martin and I continued our desert wanderings. We continued North West for a bit on the highway then turned off on a dirt road. Parking the rigs, we set out on foot for a short 4 mile round trip to the Citadel. An awesome Anasazi site located at the end of a small peninsula. The hike, was mild but we had a perfect blue bird day to enjoy it. After spending some time checking out the Citadel, along with a lunch time nap, we continued our trek back to Moab. Stopping at Ray’s Tavern for a burger (always a must!) then a quick tour of the White Sand’s Missile Complex before making our way back to Moab for Cruise Moab. An awesome few days out in the desert!
