This years Outlaws Run turned into a Plan B of sorts. Originally, I wanted to get out to one of the last stops that we haven’t been to on the “Outlaw Trail”- Winnemucca, NV. A site were the “Wild Bunch” robbed the local bank and managed to escape with the loot. But with moving into the new apartment earlier in the year, I was really watching the budget. So we shortened the length of the trip and after some time decided on a trek out to Southern Utah. The main focus was to finally check out Peavine Canyon, deep in Bears Ears country. A place I’ve been wanting to check out for some time. From a night in the Henry Mountains, Finally checking out Dark Canyon and seeing some new country, and a night below Bears Ears before a most amazing drive down Peavine Canyon, this years Outlaws Run was a great one.
It felt great driving the 4runner again after getting the steering rack replaced. And nothing beats hanging out with long time friends in the desert next to a fire and star filled nights.
Act 1: A night in the Henry’s and a fine drive along Dark Canyon
