We had a fine early summer June day for our first outing up to Argentine Pass with the Clear Creek Forest service. We only made it up as far as he Santiago Mine and Mill, due to the late snow pack but was a productive and always enjoyable day on Argentine.
Stopped to check out one of the sign posts we installed with the forest service. Think all we did that year was install a new poster.

Sadly, there always seems to be some trail trash during the clean up day.
Feel bad to have forgotten the gentleman’s name in the Chevy pickup, but he was kind enough to let us use his bed to haul out the trash.He wasn’t apart of the club, but heard about the run and joined us or the day.

Heading back down the valley, we stopped to check out an old miners cabin turned hunters cabin.

It was here that Brandon noticed some noise from the front suspension and noticed the frame on the right front was cracked. 2010 seemed to be the year for frame issues for the club.
To get back down to Georgetown, we headed down the Powerline/Old Stage coach road. Always a fun stretch of road to drive in early summer as the river crossings on Leavenworth Creek can be quite deep.
Even with a broken frame, Brandon was able to stick with the group and make it all the way back home.
