For the 2009 Outlaws Run, we headed North into Wyoming, a first time visit for us.:). We covered a bit of ground while out exploring Wyoming. Starting at Dinosaur National Monument in Northwestern, Colorado, we spent some time exploring Browns Hole, a spot frequented by Butch Cassidy and the Wild Bunch, before heading North into Wyoming. Once in Wyoming, we meet up with Wyatt, a local Land Cruiser owner who spent the next few days showing us some of the good spots, Killpecker Sand dunes and Steamboat Mountain. After Steamboat Mountain, Wyatt parted ways and we continued North, meet up with friends from Utah while checking out Oregon Buttes. A local rancher told us about Atlantic City, where we had a fun night at the local pub. After Atlantic City, we stopped to check out Miners Delight, Hells Half Acre (remember eating there as a kid) then to Hole-in-the-Wall country.
For our first time exploring Wyoming, it was a blast and great to finally see some places I’ve been reading about since Middle School:). One things for sure. Butch Cassidy and his Wild Bunch picked some fine places to hide out!
