Located in the North eastern portion of Iceland, Myvatn consists of a shallow lake and the area is pretty active volcanically. We spent some time in the area. Enjoyed a evening/night time soak in the local hot springs ( Myvatn Nature Baths) and that night, had our first glimpse of the Northern Lights ( would be a first for me- never did get to see the Northern Lights while up in Alaska). Enjoyed some hikes before making our way to the next waterfall.
