Cruise Moab has become my annual Spring trip. A pilgrimage of sorts to kick of the summer camping and wheeling season. Having missed last year due to being sick, It was especially exciting to be back in Moab/Canyon country with good friends.
I always start Moab week with the April Action Car show. A fun way to spend a Saturday, checking out a bunch of cool old Hot Rods in City Park. Friday and Saturday Night they cruise up and down Main Street with the Police right behind. Good fun. After the car show, I always head out into the desert for a few days. Getting as far out as possible. This year, my friends Matt Ralston and Marco Capote joined me for a return trip to Fable Valley. We spent a few days exploring Fable with the Backpack. After nine years, it felt good to be back to that spot. Wonderfully remote. We ended up doing a little more exploring before heading back to Moab and the Cruise Moab event.
Cruise Moab this year was a great event. Good to see some new ideas and fresh faces helping keep the event going. 22 years! Most of the time I was helping out with the event. But managed a day on the trail with my pal Jeremiah and the rest of the gang from Proffitt’s Cruisers. A super fun day on the trail! Oh, and I ended up winning two free nights at the Moab Red Cliff Condos. Look forward to using that for Cruise Moab next year!
Here are the pics from this years Moab week. Broken up into acts. Enjoy. Cause I sure did!
