The next morning after breakfast, we packed up and headed out on the trail. Once again making the climb over S.O.B Hill. Tim had a little trouble in his 200 series but after a quick was was able to make it through. Shawn, Marco and Matt followed without much issue. Shortly after S.O.B, we turned off of the E-Hill trail and started making our way through Bobby’s Hole. It wasn’t long before we were exiting Canyonlands. The views through this stretch were amazing. A quick stop to check out the now closed Impossible Hill before finishing the last of the drive into Ruin Park and ultimately Beef Basin. Once in Ruin Park, we stopped at some of the Anasazi ruins along the way to camp.
Once in Beef Basin proper, we headed to our usual spot next to South Spring and settled in for the night. I spent some time checking out and photographing South Spring Pueblo (still one of my favorite) then back to camp. After another fine meal by our camp check Shawn, we settle in around the campfire. Though a bit of a late night, it was another enjoyable one:).
Was kindly greeted to these morning views of the Needles District from my tent.
One last morning stroll soaking in the views.
