We broke away from exploring the San Rafael Swell for the 2007 Outlaws Run and headed into the Henry Mountains, just outside Hanksville, UT. I’d been reading about this fine mountain range for some time, so I was excited to finally go and check them out. After a failed attempt at a muddy crossing of the Fremont River, West of town, we finally made our way into the Henry’s. Other than the wind that we would encounter while camping at “Nasty Flats”, we would spend the next few days exploring the Henry’s. A fun outing for my first time into the Henry Mountains.
